they/them
Reed is a MSc student exploring social-ecological vulnerability to climate change and equitable climate resilience planning. They completed their undergraduate degree in Biology at McGill University, where they became interested in urban ecology and climate justice. Prior to joining UBC, they worked on conservation and environmental education projects in the non-profit sector. For their thesis, Reed is interested in how vulnerable communities and ecosystems in Vancouver experience climate impacts, as well as identifying local priorities for implementing nature-based climate adaptation measures. In their free time, you can find Reed running and cycling around Vancouver, cooking, and rock climbing.
