Kaitlyn is a PhD candidate exploring concepts of equitable urban forest governance in theory and practice. Prior to joining UBC, Kaitlyn received her Masters in Chicago, where she worked with regional forestry groups in the municipal and non-profit sectors. Her current research includes the creation and application of a literature-based framework that can be used to critically evaluate concepts of distributional, procedural, and recognitional justice in urban environmental governance. In her free time, Kaitlyn enjoys playing video games, listening to (and playing) music, going on long, shaded walks, and hanging out with her two cats.
